Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ElectroFuseAI is operated by Sebastian Bruun, part of the Aalborg University Startup Program. We operate the website at electrofuseai.com.

Data controller contact details:

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. As a company operating within the European Union, we process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. As a small-scale operator that does not process special categories of personal data and does not carry out large-scale systematic monitoring, we are not required to do so under Article 37 GDPR.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect your email address when you submit our waitlist form on electrofuseai.com. We also record which page of our website you submitted the form from, and the date and time of your submission. We do not collect your name, company name, phone number, or any other personal data through the waitlist form unless you provide it voluntarily by emailing us directly.

Our website loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. This causes your browser to make a direct request to Google's servers, which may transfer your IP address to Google. We do not control this processing. Google's privacy policy applies to that transfer and is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Why we collect your data and the legal basis

We collect your email address to notify you when ElectroFuseAI becomes available for early access, and to send you product updates, platform announcements, and related communications in the lead-up to launch.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give that consent by ticking the consent checkbox on our waitlist form before submitting your email address. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at sebastian@electrofuseai.com or by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email we send. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Providing your email address is entirely voluntary. There is no contractual or statutory obligation to do so. If you choose not to submit your email address, the only consequence is that you will not receive early access notifications or product updates from us.

4. How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as you remain on the waitlist or until you withdraw your consent, and in any case for no longer than 3 years from the date you submitted your email address. If you have not been contacted or have not otherwise re-confirmed your interest within that period, we will delete your data without further notice. If you request deletion at any point, we will remove your data within 30 days of receiving your request.

In the event that ElectroFuseAI ceases operations, we will notify all waitlist subscribers by email at least 30 days before shutting down, and will securely delete all personal data no later than the date the service is formally discontinued. No data will be transferred to a third party as part of a wind-down unless you are separately informed and given the opportunity to object.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your email address is stored by a third-party cloud infrastructure provider acting as a data processor on our behalf. We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with this provider as required by Article 28 GDPR.

Our infrastructure provider may be based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, we ensure the transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, providing an equivalent level of protection to that required within the EEA.

Our website loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, a service operated by Google LLC, which is based in the United States. This transfer is incidental and consists solely of your IP address being sent to Google's servers as part of a standard font request. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for this transfer.

If we use a third-party email delivery service to contact you, we will update this policy before doing so and establish a Data Processing Agreement with that provider.

6. Your rights under GDPR

As a data subject under GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

1. The right to access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
2. The right to rectification: you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
3. The right to erasure: you may ask us to delete your personal data.
4. The right to restrict processing: you may ask us to limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
5. The right to data portability: you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
6. The right to object to direct marketing: you may object to receiving marketing communications from us at any time and we will honour that immediately.
7. The right to withdraw consent: you may withdraw consent at any time without penalty.

7. How to complain

If you believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish data protection supervisory authority, Datatilsynet.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform develops or as legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
